Same Direction

This painting is part of the series "So Move", which explores sports and movement in general as a metaphor for everyday life. The paintings in this series focus on breaking down movement into phases, where each step, jump, swimming stroke, or gesture represents an individual stage of a larger whole. Each phase reflects the process of gradual development. These phases resemble moments in life that come together to form a bigger picture. The series thus examines the rhythm and continuity of movement. It serves as a reminder that every step forward is the result of previous steps and highlights the importance of individual moments.

This work was created in 2022 as part of a group exhibition called ROW ROW ROW RAČICE, which was presented at the venue of the 2022 World Rowing Championships in Račice. The exhibition is an artistic response by leading Czech and international artists to the beauty of this sport.
