Michal Cimala
- 1975, CZ
A sculptor, designer, and jeweler, Michal Cimala is the creator of numerous interior designs and often works with public spaces. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture, and Design in Prague (1994-2000, Metal and Jewelry Studio under Professor Vratislav K. Novák). He has participated in scholarship programs in Milan, Berlin, and Los Angeles. He is one of the founders of Prague's Trafo Gallery and is among its contributing artists. Recently, he has become a member of the FIRMA project. He frequently and enthusiastically experiments with sculptural forms, recycles used materials, and works with found objects (ready-made). The central focus of his creative work is the figure and its transformations in new social and technological contexts: the figure and its alienated representation.
