Michal Cihlář is a graduate of the Academy of Arts and Crafts, a pioneering figure in Czech modern linocut. In his work, he focuses mainly on graphic art, namely the technique of multi-coloured or coloured linocut. However, he also deals with illustration, collage, author's books and photography. For his contribution to the field of free and applied graphics he received the prestigious Vladimír Boudník Award.
